New Approach: TouchNetix Pilot ID as an HOD technology

What is Pilot ID?

  • A signal of known frequency is coupled into the driver's body
  • Every passenger in the car can have a unique frequency
  • An HMI (displays, buttons, smart surfaces, …) can read the signal and distinguish frequencies if the user approaches or operates it
  • The HMI reaction can then be controlled depending on the detected user

It enables the next generation HOD.

  • Using seat heating mat as sender and steering wheel heating mat as receiver
  • If the driver holds the wheel, his unique frequency is detected
  • Excellent signal-to-noise ratio, improved reliability and stability
